Sea freight to Australia costs less than air freight for the same volume. The type of goods you are sending from sea freight from China to Australia, as well as their value, will be used for the sea rate estimation. The dimensions of the cargo and its volume will also be taken into account.
The charges will also differ based on the type of goods you are sending, such as personal goods, hazardous goods, or event cargo that requires special care.
Flat rates of 40’ FCL container load shipping can start from $1500. LCL Sea shipping from Shanghai to Sydney will be more than $705 for a shipment weighing 200kg. This sea freight quote does not include the charges of shipping line documentation fee, customs clearance cost, duty taxes, storage rates, etc.
